Lab67 Supports VinaCapital’s Children’s Cancer Run as Diamond Sponsor
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – Lab67 has taken its commitment to community impact to the next level by serving as the Diamond Sponsor of the 2024 Children’s Cancer Run, a charity race organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CanCham) Vietnam in partnership with VinaCapital Foundation and the Vietnam Children’s. The event drew nearly 6,000 runners and walkers, raising funds to provide treatment and financial support for Vietnamese children battling cancer.
A Movement of Hope and Resilience
Rad Kivette, Chief Executive Officer of VinaCapital Foundation, emphasized that Vietnam’s pediatric oncology system needs more resources to reach every child: each year over 40,000 youngsters are treated for cancer, but many families cannot afford. All proceeds from the Children’s Cancer Run support the Can-Clover Program, a partnership between the Vietnam Children’s Fund, VinaCapital Foundation and CanCham, which directs 100 percent of donations to treatment and financial assistance for underprivileged families. As Diamond Sponsor, Lab67 underscored its long-term investment in the Vietnamese community. In a statement, a company representative noted that the event was “more than a gathering—it’s a movement of hope and resilience”. Lab67’s support was joined by other key sponsors, including logistics firm SCI (SNP), The Global City, Masterise Home and GreenHat
Giving Back in the Heart of Vietnamese Industry
Lab67 specializes in material-handling equipment and strategic manufacturing. The company operates design and production operations in Vietnam, working closely with local suppliers and factory partners. “We’re proud to give back to the communities that help us build and innovate,” said the representative. The sponsorship reflects Lab67’s philosophy of making a tangible difference where its employees and partners live and work.
Collaboration and Community
The Children’s Cancer Run also highlighted the power of partnership. CanCham, VinaCapital Foundation and the Vietnam Children’s Fund worked with corporations, volunteers and media partners to make the event a success. Kivette praised sponsors and participants for “raising awareness and critical funding for children battling cancer”. According to organisers, the run exemplified how businesses can leverage their resources and networks to support social causes.
