ProMat 2025 marked the largest manufacturing and supply‑chain trade show in the event’s history: the show recorded 52,223 registrants, 1,160 exhibitors and more than 659,000 net square feet of exhibit. Held at Chicago’s McCormick Place, the four‑day gathering drew visitors from the US and 143 countries, to explore automation, robotics and Supply chain and logistics solutions . MHI CEO John Paxton called the event “proof of the central role the supply chain plays across industries”, highlighting that leading retailers and Fortune 500 companies were searching for resilient supply solutions.

Against this backdrop, Lab67 made its public debut at ProMat with its flagship material‑handling innovation, RotaCart. Lab67 already supplies RotaCart to select customers, but the show marked the first time the solution was displayed for the wider industry. The company’s booth—shared with its sister firm Lab0—was among the largest on the show floor, drawing constant traffic from warehouse operators, big‑box retailers and logistics executives. Visitors were drawn to the cart’s unique omni‑directional base and vertical nesting frame, which allow empty carts to stack five‑to‑one and loaded carts to carry up to 1,000 pounds. Using RotaCart, distribution‑center teams can reduce unloading time from hours to minutes and reclaim valuable aisle space.

Customization emerged as a recurring theme. Because Lab67 owns its design and manufacturing process, many visitors asked about bespoke versions of RotaCart—wider decks, different heights, integrated IoT sensors—for their specific distribution networks. Lab67’s engineers explained how the company could tailor carts, wheels and deck systems to meet unique handling challenges. Attendees also previewed other Lab67 products, such as RollaWheel omni‑directional wheels and modular deck platforms, while Lab0 showcased its autonomous trailer unloading and palletising system—another draw for operations managers looking to automate dock‑to‑stock flow.

For Lab67, ProMat 2025 wasn’t just a tradeshow; it was a proving ground. The company demonstrated that its vertically integrated model—design, engineering and manufacturing under one roof—enables rapid iteration and customization. Prospective customers responded enthusiastically, scheduling follow‑up meetings to explore pilot projects and large‑scale deployments. With RotaCart now formally on the public stage, Lab67 is poised to help distribution centers across the U.S. and abroad streamline material handling, reduce footprint and accelerate supply‑chain flows.
